Dear reader,
You are now part of this new weekly newsletter and our community. But before you decide to keep your subscription, be sure to know what we’re about.
Who we are
Alata Magazine creates metaphysical journalism. This means we apply philosophy to explore the most relevant issues facing Western society today. Here, you can find a place to combine thought with action: we’re not merely concerned with abstract thought but believe in the vital forces that drive us towards becoming who we are. We strive to find our lost sense of purpose, fulfillment, and belonging. To do so, we cover the essential pillars of an enriched life in our contemporary era: Art, Health, Relationships, Faith, War, and Existence from a philosophical perspective. The name Alata is inspired by the Greek statue of the Goddess Nike of Samothrace, which represents winged victory (vittoria alata).
Why Subscribe?
Alata Magazine is 100% reader-funded, a testament to our commitment to editorial independence. Every illustration is designed by a graphic designer, and every article is written authentically by chosen contributors. We’re not interested in the clinical, filtered subjects covered in traditional newspapers or the political, outrage-based commentary dominating alternative media. We transcend such matters to aim at the soul, offering a radical perspective to elevate Western civilization.
Paid subscribers:
Paid subscribers are highly appreciated as our magazine is open to all readers. They are also welcome to join our group chat, where we talk about these issues privately and will organize meetups in the future. If you become a founding member, besides joining the group chat, you can speak privately to the founder to share your ideas and insights. A print magazine and other exciting projects could be in the making. By subscribing, you're not just joining our newsletter. You're becoming part of an audacious community.
